Teachers

Under the direction of some of NSW’s finest creative physie instructors, Port Macquarie Physie and Dance aims to bridge the gap between the traditional school of physie and the world of contemporary dance, to create an innovative dance sport that reflects the discipline of physie and the creativity of dance.

Our Associate Teachers bring a wealth of experience to their roles and are committed to ensuring their students have positive experiences interpreting the unique and rhythmic relationship between music and movement. All of our team are National representatives who work together to create a fun, friendly environment for girls to dance in and are dedicated to ensuring every girl can be the best dancer they can be.

From the age of 9 Katelyn was taking jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop & musical theatre classes alongside her physie classes! After a break from the physie world, she returned back at the age of 21 looking for a place in the dance world for an adult to perform & compete. Miss Katelyn started teaching physie from the age of 22, and has also recently taken on work choreographing audition pieces and performances for dance schools, plus completing her Bachelor of Education in Secondary Performing Arts, Certificate IV in Theatre Production & RAD Ballet Teaching Qualification
Miss Katelyn absolutely loves teaching APDA Physie, watching her students grow from tiny tots, into shy but energetic juniors through to hard working, determined seniors. She loves the lifelong friendships and bonds that she has made through PMPD, and cannot wait to see what 2024 brings for her students!
Miss Lily

Miss Lily

Juniors Teacher

Miss Lily has been dancing for as long as she can remeber! When she was little she took classes in acro, jazz, ballet & hip hop, all of which she loved! At the age of 10 she started taking BJP physie classes and fell in love! In 2020 she was offered the opportunity to step into a role as the Preschool Physie teacher at her club! This step up was such a huge leap for Lily, and she absolutely thrived! So much so that the following year she was offered the chance to step in as the Assistant Teacher for the 5-8yrs! Alongside all of the teaching, Miss Lily has also been working her way through the age groups as a Physie girl, placing at multiple interclubs and making Zone Semi-Finals & Finals!

2024 brings some new and exciting changes for Miss Lily as she starts her University journey in Port Macquarie, as well as joining us at Port Macquarie Physie and Dance! We cannot wait to support Lily as she thrives and grows as one of our Junior teachers!
